But… What is Bollywood?
The word Bollywood arose by combining the word «Bombay» (the city now called Mumbai) and «Hollywood». Bollywood is, therefore, one of the biggest film industries in the world, originating in India, as the name implies.
Bollywood Dance emerged from the worldwide popularization of Bollywood-produced films, and today it can be said to be the commercial term for modern Indian dance.
This style of dance mixes traditional and folkloric dances from India with modern and contemporary styles, creating a unique style of dance in the world, with its own particular and fun movements and gestures.
Our school offers Bollywood Dance classes in Bern for all people and of all ages. If you have the desire to have fun, move your body and be happy, so this class is for you!
